Damn you! I didn’t come into work this morning to find out others were happy! lol
Will Mercedes lease these out? But I’m wondering if this exterior styling will make its way to the new CL / CLS. Because that would be awesome!

WHY WON’T THEY GIVE IT THREE PEDALS!?!?!
Just kidding, I know it’s a Mercedes, and only plebeians row their own.

Are there any plans for a full on track pack? Bigger brakes, heavier duty everything, one of those cool crossbars?

Anything you would nitpick? How’s the transmission?
I’m in love with this car and the way it sounds.

I want to know, if you know how much I hate you right now! Not really... kinda ...
Seriously though, would you say it’s prone to trying to murder the driver naturally, or is it more refined to the point of not trying to kill you unless you make it?

New CLS has a similar front fascia.

All Mercedes have a similar front fascia - mainly because they all share the same protruding large grill design which is a very prominent feature of the fascia.
I’m talking about transferring the straight side lines (the lines below the “belt”) and slightly pointy butt from the AMG GT to the CLS.
Current CLS has a droop in the side lines on the rear door. This has become common in all Mercedes sedans and I ’m not a fan of HATE it.
CLS doesn’t look very sporty to me. Its like S class with a coupe-like roof line. I think that adopting the AMG GT’s side and rear design cues would make it better looking and more sporty.

I see what you mean, the AMG GT lines are bit more subdued and the CLS has that extra line near the rear to break up the rear fender that most people hate. As for the rear, the S Class coupe and AMG GT share a similar but without having a spoiler, I suspect the next C Coupe will look very similar.
I think the sedans will retain the droopy but you hate.

Ah gotcha.
But do tell us more about your experience with the AMG GT and maybe post videos too!

Transmission is fantastic. My only bitch would be that 503 hp isn’t really enough for the $130,000 that the car costs. It’s fast, but even Z06 Corvettes have passed that number years ago.

It will still bite if you drive it hard HOWEVER it’s way easier to drive quickly than the SLS AMG

I can see where you’re coming from, hopefully with the 2 turbos it should be easy to pull some extra power in with a tune.

Some variant of the AMG GT was spied rocking camo, has different front, a bigger wing, bigger fender bulges so they think it might be the Black Series, not a full on track pack but certainly beefier in a few ways. http://mbworld.org/articles/new-m…

Nice, I’ll check it out. This is
me
. The East Coast US perspective on cars. Or something. Although I guess that’s Jalopnik. Maybe the Mid-Atlantic US perspective. If that’s a thing.
